31, October, 2003 - WE DID IT! Monochrome monitors are no longer used in the department computer class.
23, October, 2002 - the interactive tasks for students, studying structural mechanics are published in the Russian version of the site. Now students can get their tasks via Internet, according to the code, received from their lecturers.
24, June, 2002 - the work over English version of the Structural Mechanics and Theory of Elasticity Department site is over. Now English-speaking Internet users can learn about our department as well as Russian-speaking. Only materials for students and details about department courses are not included into the English version.
12, April, 2002 - the birthday of the SPbSPU Structural Mechanics and Theory of Elasticity Department site. Now Internet users can find us at smitu.cef.spbstu.ru .
March, 2002. The second part of the Structural Mechanics distational course (authors - Kolosova G.S, Smirnov M.S.) is developed and published. Students can find it in the department computing laboratory.
10, February, 2002. The local network of the department computing laboratory is connected to the faculty Intranet Network.
Students and the staff of the Civil Engineering faculty can visit this site in the local network of the department computing laboratory begining with the spring term of 2001/2002 academic year.
Begining with the spring term of 2001/2002 academic year the new server, based on Windows NT system started its work in the department computing laboratory. This will give an opportunity to eliminate some serious drawbacks and limitations in the work of the local network, that users faced before. Users now will be able to use software, answering the demands of our days. Higher security level also will be provided.
6, January, 2002. The main sections of the site are alredy developed and ready to publication. Only the section "For students" with materials, necessary for students (tasks, programs, examin topics etc) and the english version of the site are to be developed in future.
